Nord-Aski REDC is a not-for-profit organization. Our success is based on your success. We’re not here to make money. Our main goal is the creation and maintenance of jobs.  We achieve this by investing in local businesses.  Any revenue generated from the interest earned on our loans goes right back into our communities by investing in the next local business.

 

We’re here to help support, invest in, and grow local businesses within the communities we serve. We encourage entrepreneurs to succeed by offering financial assistance in their ventures. If you operate or plan on operating a business in our designated region, you are eligible to apply to our Investment Program.​

How to get the ball rolling...

 

1. LET'S TALK

Let’s get started by calling us at 705-362-7355 or dropping by
at 1500 Front Street in Hearst.

 

2. LET'S MEET

We will meet with you to discuss your ideas and needs and determine whether there’s a role for Nord-Aski REDC to play in your project.  We can meet you either at our office or your place of business, whichever is more convenient for you.

 

3. APPLICATION

For us to make a decision we need your help.  We will provide our application which includes business and personal information. We will review the material then provide additional feedback and corrections as needed. We will likely require additional information, such as a business plan and financial statements.

 

4. THE REVIEW

We review all the information provided and make a decision.  We aim to provide an efficient review process and response time, but timelines can vary, depending on a variety of factors. We will discuss the timeline with you throughout the process.

 

5. THE DECISION

If we decide to invest in your business, we will prepare documents and meet with you to review.

 

6. SUPPORT

Throughout the investment review and beyond, additional support services are available. In the event we are unable to invest in your business we will continue to offer our support services and help you find other options.

Note: We often work in partnership with other lenders such as commercial banks, credit unions and the BDC. All information provided in the process of applying for investment assistance is held in the strictest confidence.
